DFW Creatives Cultivate Community through Art
The art world can be a complex labyrinth to navigate alone. Far too often, it’s practically impossible for talented individuals to make a living solely from the fruits of their labor. Artist and entrepreneur Danny Williams saw a need to create an organization that makes a tribe of creativity.
Tribal Life Art is an organization in the greater Dallas area that focuses on giving creatives an opportunity to make a living with their talents. Founded in 2017, Tribal Life Art leadership includes Williams along with artist Jackie Robinson and attorney Rae Guyse Esq.
Danny Williams is an artist and entrepreneur who displays much of his creativity on living canvases, working with body paint on models. Williams’s style varies from multi-colored tribal designs to geometric shapes, fitting painted pieces together on the unique curves of the models. Each living canvas is adorned with artwork that tells a story through pattern and color. Williams can be seen painting live at Tribal Life Art's monthly events, Art Takes Life. These events are vendor friendly and each member of the tribe encourages other artists to join, network and profit from the sale of their work.
Williams' biggest supporter was his mother. How she lived her life fighting until the very end inspired Danny to use the love and wisdom she gave him for good. As a result, many creative dreams were manifested and he continues to help network with other artists as he expands Tribal LifeArt's influence in the art world.
Jackie Robinson is an artist and entrepreneur in his own right and handles the marketing for Tribal LifeArt. Robinson's style of art is photorealism, produced mainly with graphite and charcoal. Robinson does a live reveal of new work and nearly each Art Takes Life event. Robinson came from a family that had natural artistic abilities but it was his grandmother that truly supported him to pursue a career in art. You can see many of his most recent works at Art Take Life Events or at the gallery.
Rae Guyse Esq. is an attorney, model, Yoga Instructor and wellness life coach. Her time in law was focused on herbal medicine and cannabis law. Her journey with the body and healing oneself began years ago and her experiences became the blueprint for her development of yoga as a way to heal and evolve. "I work in cannabis and alternative medicine law but I also have a real passion for wellness and that was one of the things we really saw us lining up with," Rae tells how her connection with TribaLifeArt was solidified.Guyse models as well and is a key contributing ambassador to Tribal Life Art's marketing systems. Today, Guyse uses her education as a graduate from the University of Texas School of Law and her own wellness and creativity to help others heal themselves.
The trio also curate an art gallery, Legacy of Love, in the Dallas area, and will have a new home in Kemp, Texas, following Tribal Life Art’s recent acquisition of land and development of campsites, a gallery and other creative spaces for fellow artists to catch a vibe, refresh, recharge and create.
If you're in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and art and wellness spark your interest, attend Tribal Life Art's next event. You’re likely to leave with a wealth of knowledge and an experience that will inspire you to tap into your own creativity and inner peace.
