5 Reasons to Move to the Suburbs
Living in the city has more perks than you think it does. It’s close to the good jobs, to your friends, to your close reach of clubs and vibrant nightlife hotspots. The city may have worked for you when you were in school and full of discovery to learn more about the world, but now the time has come to slow down a little, the city life may not be what you want anymore.
As we get older, we want a better pace of life and it’s suburbia that has the key. It doesn't mean that household moving is easy, but it does mean that you will have the chance to enjoy a better pace of life when you move out to the suburbs. The suburbs could be the answer to your prayers and we’ve got some of the best reasons that you should move to the suburbs and out of the city.
5. You’ll have way more space
The city apartments and condos are beautiful but the space you get in the houses in the suburbs will surprise you. Swapping out the apartments for a spread of a house will be brilliant, especially as it’s cheaper and you’ll get to enjoy some of the prettiest countryside. You can commute into the city if necessary, but if not, you can find work closer to your new home.
4. Breathing the fresh air
It’s rare for people to want to raise children in the city and a part of it will be for the fact that the country air is cleaner. You’re going to stop feeling so congested and greasy, which let’s face it, everyone feels after a day in the city!
3. The commute cuts out
If you find a job closer to the suburbs, you’re going to find you cut out the commute and get to work closer to your new house. You can also choose to ditch the car and commute in via bus or train, which will help you to curb your carbon footprint and give back a little to the environment, too. You can spend time just in your own head, or reading, when you commute via train!
2. There are so many amenities
When you are moving out to the suburbs, you’re more likely to enjoy fun family amenities as opposed to the stuffy city life. You don't have to travel into the city for the shops or the best food places, because many suburban homes are built around their own districts.
1. You’ll save a ton of money
Even if you only rent, the further out you move, the more you’ll save. The city is the place that you pay for and the suburbs are going to give you everything that you need. You’ll spend less on mortgage and rent costs, utilities and more because you aren't as close to the city center as you used to be. Moving to the suburbs can be the best thing that you need and planning it is easy when you get started!
