Follow Patrice on Instagram and Facebook for inspirational quotes, makeup tutorials, special effects (SFX) makeup, and product reviews. We asked Patrice for the three beauty products she can’t live without. First is the Pond’s Dry Skin Cream, which she mixes with rosehip oil for her daytime and nighttime skincare routine. She also loves to set the highlight under her eyes with the Dermablend Loose Setting Powder in Warm Saffron when achieving a full face with a natural finish. Finally, Lashing Out Glam’s Glassy Lip Glam lip gloss is her go to lip gloss for a high shine that compliments any look. The Crayon Case is her favorite Black-owned beauty brand at the moment, because of their variety of products and the story behind their CEO, Supa Cent. She also recommends all of us follow @thee_glamoligist, @_bellebeatz_, and @fearfullymadebeauty

@aseamae

Follow Asea on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest. Bonus: follow her IG beauty profile for swatches, dupes, and inspo. Asea will inspire you to be bold and embrace who you are. You’ll find DIY and motivational content that will help you achieve salon-quality looks on your natural hair, as well as motivational and inspiring makeup content! A lot of her content is educational and provides helpful tips and tricks for your beauty routines and building confidence.

One of the beauty products Asea can’t live without is the Mielle Organics Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioner. She told us the deep conditioner “is an amazing deep conditioner for balancing moisture and protein balance,” and “For the best results, I recommend applying to freshly cleaned hair and to cover it with a processing cap while it sits. I also recommend using a thermal heating cap.” Hence, the second beauty product she can’t live without is the Glow by Daye Conditioning Heat Cap, which she says is amazing for opening the hair pores to allow deep conditioners to penetrate your hair. As the mother of twins, she loves that you can move around and multitask with this cap on.

Her favorite Black-owned beauty brand at the moment is Adwoa Beauty, especially their Baomint Leave In Conditioning Styler, which is the third beauty product she can’t live without. Adwoa Beauty is a Black woman-owned hair care brand based in Dallas. In addition to loving the character and integrity of the owner, and how she educates customers on the products, she loves the branding, clean ingredients, and how amazing the products work on all curl types. While the shampoo, deep conditioner, and leave-in conditioner are all her go-to products, the leave-in conditioner is her favorite because it’s very moisturizing and makes her kinky coils so manageable. She recommends applying it after rinsing out a deep conditioner, and then finishing with a styling product after applying the leave in. Two other amazing beauty influencers Asea recommends you follow, Jalisa Nelson on Instagram and YouTube for her amazing makeup, natural hair, and fashion content; as well as JoyNavon on Instagram and YouTube for her beautiful aesthetic and amazing hair and makeup content.

Follow Rosieta on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to experience her passion, creativity, self-expression, and of course classes and tutorials. Here are her three must-have beauty products and tips for application: (1) The Crayon Case Hall Pass Lipgloss in Clearly, line your outer lips with a soft brown lipliner before applying the clear gloss; (2) Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate, outline your brow with an eyebrow pencil and then fill in the brow by applying the pomade in the same direction that the hair grows; and (3) HydraBalance Instant Moisture Infusion, apply it after cleansing your face and it will keep your skin glowing and moisturized throughout the day. When it comes to Black-owned beauty brands, she loves The Crayon Case, because it caters to all artists regardless of whether they are amateurs or professionals. Follow Rosieta and then take her advice and follow Arlana Franklin on Facebook and Instagram and Patrice Marshall on Facebook and Instagram

@simplyije

02. Simply Ijé.jpg

Follow Ijé on Instagram and YouTube for beauty and lifestyle content, including skincare, fashion, makeup, home décor, and more! She told us a cleanser, sunscreen, and treatment that targets your skincare concerns are essential for any good beauty routine. That’s why she can’t live without Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser, Peter Thomas Roth Pro Strength Discoloration Treatment, and Paula’s Choice Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50. Ijé also shared that the Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 is amazing for our skin, because it has a beautiful formula and doesn’t leave an unflattering cast on deeper skin tones. Beauty Bakerie is her favorite Black-owned brand and foundation, because of their fantastic complexion products for those of us with deeper skin tones. Also because the packaging is cute. After you follow Ijé she recommends following skincare blogger @lifewithabiola and lifestyle blogger @yray_ideh.

@xrizztina

02. XrizzTina.jpg

Follow XrizzTina on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, and Facebook! She told us, “The kind of content I create benefits both my audience and myself! We have girl chat, we are silly, experimental and most importantly kind—I don’t play when it comes to drama.” She also shared that “Makeup and Lifestyle content are my favorites! So when you join the fam, we’ll enjoy getting to know each other through vlogs while also learning how to best accommodate our beauty needs.”

Moisturizer and sunscreen are a must have, because as she says, “without it we’d all be crusty.” Her tips for applying moisturizers and sunscreen, apply onto damp skin to allow the ingredients to lock in a little extra moisture and keep your skin luminous. Her favorite moisturizer at the moment is the Laniege Hydro Bank Moisturizer, and for sunscreen she is loving TULA’s probiotic skincare sunscreen (which she has a discount code for if you want to find out for yourself why she loves it so much). A third must-have for XrizzTina is lip balm, specifically salves that can be used not just for your lips but in other areas like your hands. She loves Breeze Balm and their yummy flavors! Yo Cocoa Skincare has become her favorite Black-owned beauty brand, because of how grounded the owner is and how purposeful she is with everything she creates. One last tip from XrizzTina, follow Mahogany and Briah on Instagram for some additional beauty inspiration!
