Lake Travis Waterloo Adventures is Back with a Splash

Lake Travis Waterloo Adventures (LTWA) will open Saturday, May 15 for the full summer season. This exciting adventure offers guests “The Ultimate Lake Experience,” which includes a floating water park and obstacle course, access to a beautifully landscaped private resort-style beach, and a boat ride to and from Adventure Island, located at 14529 Pocohontas Trail, Leander, TX 78641.

In addition to the timed admission on the “Floating Challenge Course”, a course larger than 2 football fields, guests can spend the day at Adventure Island playing beach games, swimming, and exploring the additional water attractions in the Aqua Park area, including a massive 14-foot climbing tower, the Ice Tower XXL, the Free Fall Supreme water slide standing 16.5-feet tall, The Springboard Jump Tower with multiple levels, and an amazing 25-foot trampoline. But “The Ultimate Lake Experience” would not be complete without some relaxation.

While the kids continue to burn energy after the 45-minute session on the Floating Obstacle Course, adults can relax in the shade on a hammock or lounge chair and enjoy one of the most spectacular views of Lake Travis. Complimentary amenities include resort style chaise loungers and umbrellas, floating picnic tables, saddle floats, hammocks, personal drink coolers, lockers and beach games. Adventure Island also offers food and beverages, including wine, beer and frozen drinks.

The highlight of LTWA is the “Floating Challenge Course.” Built for beginners and experts alike, the 600-foot water playground offers a wide array of fun and challenging obstacles, including climbing walls, monkey bars, slides, hurdles, balance beams, bridges and so much more. Guests must be at least seven years of age and 45” tall to play on the course.

“After three seasons, we found that the water park is great for everyone from kids to wannabe Ninja Warriors, but feedback still continues to confirm – one of the best features is its beautiful location,” exclaims owner Brian F. George. “Come enjoy the adventure, but stay to soak up 1,000 feet of incredible lakefront and hillside views. With even more floating tables added to the lush and mature landscaping this season, Adventure Island will make you feel like you’re on vacation at an exotic location."

LTWA has worked diligently to create a safe and welcoming environment, employing all health and safety guidelines set by the CDC and local officials. This season, the addition of open-air shuttles continues LTWA’s commitment to health, safety and fun. For patrons who are not yet ready to join in person, gift cards are available for future fun.

For those looking for more thrills and chills, adrenaline junkies can take on both Lake Travis adventures this summer. Lake Travis Zipline Adventures, also located at Adventure Island, offers a 3-hour tour with five of the fastest and longest ziplines in Texas, ranging from 300 feet to more than 2,800 feet. In between gliding across beautiful canyons and soaring over Lake Travis, zipliners will take nature hikes through the Texas Hill Country with a professional tour guide.

Cost for LTWA’s Adventure Island excursion is $59. Those looking to push their limits can purchase a second session on the exhilarating challenge course for only an additional $10.
