Work Smarter with These 5 Business Tools
Let’s talk about effective business resources. I get asked every day about what resources I use in my business to be effective. So, I actually took the time to create a list and include a brief explanation on why I use each of the resources. For complete transparency, for some of these links, I am an affiliate, however, I’m not recommending them just because I earn from the clicks, I’m recommending them because I love the service and I consider it essential to my overall effectiveness!
Each of these tools can play a key role in running your business, whether it’s keeping your documents in one place, keeping your team connected, or helping you make visually stunning marketing graphics. Best of all, each of these is easy to understand, so you’re not losing money to preoccupied time.
5. Google Drive
Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service developed by Google. I personally use Google drive because it allows me to access my files from anywhere and organize them to better support me professionally and personally. The drive is small so you may need to add additional storage space as needed starting at $1.99 and up to $9.99 for 2TB of space.
4. Linktree
Linktr.ee can be used as an Instagram hack. Many of you know that Instagram doesn’t allow you to add clickable links in your posts so I include a call to action in all my posts. I tell people to click the link in my bio so they can see everything I’m offering in one place.
3. Zoom
By now I can’t think of a person anywhere that’s unfamiliar with Zoom! But just in case, Zoom is a video conferencing platform. I use Zoom to host meetings, run programs, webinars, client calls and connect with anyone virtually. It has a free version, which is great but has limited functionality. The paid options give you longer meeting times and more perks.
2. Square
Square is an ecommerce site that has multiple functions for entrepreneurs. If you’re a mobile bakery you may use the magstripe that plugs into your phone while a wing shop may use the square stand. It can be used for collecting payments, points of sale and a variety of other services. Signing up through my link will give a great package of resources and savings up to $1000 on processing.
1. Canva
Canva is one of the most popular graphics designing tools on the web. Canva Pro is the premium plan of Canva that comes with additional features including unlimited storage for photos and assets. You can upload your own images and access millions of photos starting at $1 each. You'll also get exclusive access to 400,000 free photos, illustrations, and templates. I use this to create some of the graphics for my social media posts.
Bonus: BlueHost
BlueHost is a web hosting provider. Through BlueHost you can get your domain name and space, as well as a free WordPress web building site, (which is a great resource to have!) it’s easy to use and you can have your site hosted for less than $70 per year.
These are just some of the tools that I use in my business. What are some of your favorite tools? Leave them in the comments or drop by the Unikorn Trybe on Facebook and share what you use in your business. Let’s learn and build together!
